Judith Absalon

About Judith Absalon, M.D.

Dr. Judith Absalon is an Adult Infectious Diseases physician and experienced clinical researcher with more than 20 years of experience. She has spent the last 15 years contributing to the development of antiviral drugs and vaccines. Dr. Absalon joined Glaxo Smith Kline in October 2021 where she serves as Vice President and Clinical Sciences Disease Area Lead of Infectious Diseases & Virology. Prior to joining GSK, Dr. Absalon was a Senior Medical Director in Vaccines Research & Development at Pfizer, Inc. where she led several vaccine clinical development programs. In 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Absalon was a core team member on the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine clinical development program where she contributed to the licensure of Comirnaty® both for Emergency Use Authorization and full licensure.

Pam Gardner

Pamela J. Gardner

Pamela is a trailblazer in promoting thought leadership and empowerment in the STEM industry. This self-described “Bad-Ass Butterfly,” is fearlessly on a mission to help women in STEM break through the barriers that exist within themselves and the system. Her signature program “The Art of Women Thriving in STEM” ignites women to shatter their glass ceilings and succeed at their highest level without burning out. In November 2021, she was awarded SDBJ San Diego Business Women of the Year Award in the small business category. In 2003, she founded Biotech Vendor Services, Inc. (BVS) which helps bio-pharma companies and institutes streamline their vendor selections through customized innovation events.

About Seema Kumar

Ms. Kumar joins Cure from Johnson & Johnson where she spent nearly 20 years in senior leadership positions, most recently serving as Global Head of the Office of Innovation, Global Health and Scientific Engagement. During her tenure, she led the launch of the company’s Innovation Centers, JLABS and Global Public Health initiatives, as well as the CoLaboratory at the World Economic Forum at Davos and the award winning COVID-19 educational broadcast program, “The Road to a Vaccine.”
