32 million Americans experience food allergies, and the financial costs are immense – over $20.5 billion for families with an allergic household member. That amounts to more than $4,000 per year!

Unfortunately, we do not yet know what causes this common affliction – but that is not stopping us from finding a cure! Ilana Golant, CEO of The Food Allergy Fund, shared her experiences raising a food-allergic child and how they’re pushing forward in researching treatments & vaccines to help resolve this challenge once and for all.

She has held executive roles at WPP, the world’s largest advertising and PR conglomerate, as well as at NBCUniversal, specifically working with CNBC, MSNBC, and NBC News.

Ms. Kumar joins Cure from Johnson & Johnson where she spent nearly 20 years in senior leadership positions, most recently serving as Global Head of the Office of Innovation, Global Health and Scientific Engagement. During her tenure, she led the launch of the company’s Innovation Centers, JLABS and Global Public Health initiatives, as well as the CoLaboratory at the World Economic Forum at Davos and the award winning COVID-19 educational broadcast program, “The Road to a Vaccine.”
